A Mosaic of a Universal Dream
Hands joined across the globe, a house inhabited by people from all continents: Peace comes in many shapes and colours. Tsipi Ben- Haim, head of City Arts and its program “Pieces for Peace” has made the search for peace her life’s work. In 1989 she initiated a program which “empowers young people to share their voice for their visions of peace and thus […] play an active role in shaping their future.” Thousands of school children in dozens of countries have worked on the project. To see these moving pictures is to not lose hope. Ms. Ben-Haim and Wolfgang Ischinger opened up the Berlin exhibition of the program at the Allianz building– 300 works by Berlin kids.
